- Description
“Gotta Kill This Flesh” delivers a raw, urgent call to spiritual transformation, rooted in Colossians 3:5 and Romans 8:13. The song encourages each listener to put to death (mortify / subdue) earthly desires – sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires, and greed. The song confronts the daily battle between flesh and spirit, it also showcases the idea of choosing between death through the flesh and life through the Spirit, giving the song real spiritual stakes and urgency.”Gotta Kill This Flesh,” turns the writings of Paul found in Colossians 3:5 and Romans 8:13 into a personal mantra of discipline and surrender.
